About Me

Hello!

Levi C. Bevis was born and raised on a cattle farm just outside of Florence, Alabama. From a young age, Levi was interested in policy, politics, and law. He attended the University of Mississippi, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Public Policy Leadership. He also received a Master of Arts in Emerging Media Studies from Boston University. Currently, Levi is a law student at Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He is also the author of The Campaigner, a biweekly newsletter discussing emerging trends in political communications, campaigns, and policy.

Upon graduation from the University of Mississippi, Levi moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue roles in the legal and political fields. He served as an intern for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18). In Rep. Maloney’s office, he served as the Project Lead for H.R. 1981, which is a bill that would prohibit Medicaid from funding fraudulent conversion therapy practices. He also served as the Office Liaison to the LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus in the House of Representatives.

In addition to his time on Capitol Hill, Levi has worked in the legal field in both Florence, Alabama, and Washington, D.C. During college, Levi worked with a probate and estate planning law firm in Alabama, and he also worked with an immigration law firm in Washington, D.C. after graduation.

Levi has also worked in the political campaign industry. In 2016, he served as an assistant campaign manager to a city council candidate in Florence, Alabama, during the municipal election cycle. In 2020, Levi served as a Canvass Deputy Director in Maine to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.

Levi is deeply engaged with his local community. From August 2020 to December 2022, he served as the president of the University of Mississippi LGBTQIA+ Alumni Chapter. In this role, he reactivated the chapter and oversaw the development of an inaugural University of Mississippi endowment scholarship for LGBTQ+ students and allies.

Levi currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
